  1. Aristotle (384¬≠322 B.C.) was a Greek philosopher and scientist. His 
  2. philosophy is grounded in biology, where an individual‚Äôs outcome is the 
  3. result of a built-in self-realization process. Aristotle proposed a new 
  4. notion of causality, where numerous reasons help to explain an event. 
  5. He hoped the possibility of numerous explanations would help strike a 
  6. balance between the empirical strategies of science and the deductive 
  7. strategies of philosophy.
